Forgetting Sarah Marshall: Review

Reasonable amusing antidote to the usual romantic comedy, with Jason Segel as a man definitely in touch with his feelings, who finds himself heart-broken when his celebrity girlfriend (Kristen Bell) decides to call it a day. Wanting to find a way to unbreak his heart, he heads off to Hawaii where he finds his ex staying in the same hotel with her new boyfriend, Russell Brand. But could he find happiness eventually?

Segel, who also wrote the script, has put some very funny moments indeed, including the brave nude scene when the break-up happens. Russell Brand has obviously been given the opportunity to ad-lib, as his humour comes through, and surprisingly works. But this film belongs to Segel. Funny, sympathetic and very likeable, you will him to get together with hotel receptionist Mila Kunis, and that's the sign that you are in the company of a most pleasant fellow.

Yes, I did laugh, but not as much as, say Knocked Up, but it's perfect fun for those who don't want to get trapped in the world of Made Of Honor.
